This is a copy of the letter that I am faxing to Webroot. I had not had much trouble with their software until recently when I have had problems with Spy Sweeper and Window Washer. It is impossible to get through to tech support, but of course one can solve that problem for a price.
I have had problems in the past with being warned multiple times AFTER I had REPURCHASED them, that my license for both Spy Sweeper and Windows Washer had lapsed. That took some time in straightening out too. I guess that they do not mind if you pay more than once for the same thing.
To Webroot:
Thanks to Joe Ferra and the rest of your sales staff, I will not be renewing my Webroot software when it is time for renewal. There is plenty of good software available elsewhere.
He and the other sales staff members do not think that I am entitled to my opinion that paying customers should not have to go through hell to get technical support when one of your products stops working.
Perhaps your employees are so secure that they feel comfortable dumping on customers.
Ferra thinks that this is funny. Perhaps you can have a good laugh together.
