My mother bought an all in one printer, fax, copier and scanner at Walmart. We were printing pictures and then it wouldn't print. It was hard to use to begin with, my mother couldn't operate it without help. I went and bought over priced ink cartridges figuring it ran out of ink. It still wouldn't print. I tried shutting everything down and restarting still wouldn't work. It was the first time it was used besides scanning.
I called their customer service. Couldn't understand the guy I was talking to because his english was choppy. He couldn't understand me very well either. When he told me the warranty was still good but she had to give them a credit card number before they would ship her a new one. I told them she didn't have one and he said then they couldn't send her out a new one. I told him I was tired of talking to him and wanted to speak to a supervisor. He put me on hold.
While I was waiting I pulled out the warranty and read it. Didn't say anything about having to have a credit card before the warranty would be honored.
When the supervisor got on the phone with me he asked how he could help me. I went through the whole story again about how it wasn't working.
He told me again that the warranty wouldn't be honored unless I gave him a credit card number. I was on the phone with customer service for over five hours, just trying to get the warranty honored. The supervisor even tried to get me to give him anyone's credit card number. I refuse to ever buy anything from them again and I tell everyone I know not to buy from them as well. If you buy from them better have a credit card number to give them before they honor the warranty!!!
