We allowed Hughes Net to install a satilite internet network in our home. We were insured that they were the way to go if you lived in the country. We paid a installation fee, extra for pole, and monthly service for 14 months. During this time our service has failed twice were a tech was needed at $125 a callout.
The last tech stated that it was installed wrong (still costing $180 in service). Other minor outages have occured causing hour conversatins to India for reentry on the net.
We refused to pay the $125 for another service call when the site went down again in less than three months. They charged us $300 for early termination of contract then indicated woud charge $125 to come get equipment.
The average cost of Hughes Net was $128 month not including termination charges. We recommend no one get into the money trap they had us in.
