Back in August I received a phone call from a person claiming to be from AT&T. They said that they could increase the speed of our internet for no extra charge and I agreed to that. I agreed to nothing else. The following month I received a $34.95 charge on our AT&T bill. I called and AT&T they said I was being billed by another company and AT&T only billed what was given to them and they had no responsibility other than that! Since when is the phone company in the business of collecting other peoples bills. They said there was nothing they could do about the charge even though I had not authorized it. I called World Web Pages who promptly played a recording of my voice saying "I agreed to the charge" for a web page. I received no notification from them that they had set a site for a web page. We have a web page and have had it for 15 years at the same place. There is no way I would misunderstand what these thieves are billing me for. After months of calling AT&T and World Web Pages I am really fed up. No one seems to be able to help and the charges just keep piling up on my phone bill.
