I ordered my Skyway satellite In the middle of July with my $300 rebate check. I was to receive a $100 rebate in 120 days after filling out the form and mailing it back to them, which I did and made a copy of it for my records.
Last week I called Skywayusa to find out why I haven't received my rebate yet and they directed my call to another department. My call went straight to voice mail where I was told to leave my name and phone number and she would call me back.
No one ever called me back so I called again and again my call went to voice mall with the same instructions. Again no one returned my call.
I then tried to e-mail them, again no one e-mailed me back.
Today December 5 I called again and this time I was able to talk to Kelly. She checked for my rebate and told me they haven't any record of it on file. Then Kelly said they had outsourced the rebates to another company and they messed it all up. I asked her so your company messed up the rebate applications and now me and others like me will loose our $100 because of your mistake. Kelly told me if I had a copy to send it to 1199 main st. Jackson Kentucky 41390 and they would honor it. I asked Kelly for her supervisors name and number and she told me it was Trish and her extension was XXX. My wife and I looked everywhere for the copy but couldn't find it, so I called Trish my call went to voice mail. It's been 6 hours and no call so I guess Trish doesn't go near her phone either to get messages.
I admit my fault in loosing my copy of the rebate but the problem was caused by them screwing up. And what of all those who never made a copy to begin with. Seems to me Skywayusa is going to make a windfall on the rebates they now don't have to pay.
