I sent in for a rebate offered on a TRENDnet product I purchased about a month ago. I printed off the rebate forms, made copies of my receipt, and copied the UPC from the box. I sent in the original UPC with the rebate form and a copy of my receipt. About 4-5 weeks later I get a notice in the mail stating that my rebate will not be honored because there was no original UPC submitted. I sent in the original UPC from the box! They must have lost it when they opened the envelope because I was careful enough to make sure that the UPC was in the envelope between the copy of the receipt and the copy of the completed rebate form. Now what? I called and left a message with their rebate department, but have yet to receive a response. I can't come up with another original UPC without going out and buying a new item, and TRENDnet requires an original UPC. Looks like I'm not getting my rebate. They sell a bunch of their low-end stuff and offer rebates on it, purposely lose the original UPC (because it's small, required, and likely to be lost) and then never honor the rebate. This is such a scam. It's a $12 rebate and not even worth doing anything else about it besides reporting it on here.
