I was searching for a lost relative on google and was directed to veromi.com or veromi.net which claimed to be able to send me a report automatically for only $1.95 so I entered my debit card information and I never received any report but it did take the money out of my account. It also had a message that said it would continue to charge my account every month unless I canceled on their toll free number which I called but it just gives an answering machine.
The website claimed to be secured by "GeoTrust" which I stupidly trusted. I was forced to cancel my debit card and then dispute the charges to my account. I should have checked with usacomplaints.com first as apparently many people have already reported similar incidences.
If "GeoTrust" is an actual trustworthy company to oversee the transactions then they should cancel their relationship with veromi.net / veromi.com / people finder report. But if they are part of the whole scam then they should be prosecuted for fraud!
