Toner Cartridge Scam/Fraudulant Invoicing

I received an invoice from National Imaging System in October. I called the number on the invoice to let them know we had sent this "no obligation" trial cartridge back to them in May or June as it was defective. When I received the original invoice back in June, I had already shipped the defective cartridge back and I called them to let them know that I had shipped it back and was told that my account would be credited. Since that time in I had never received another invoice from them until October.

I told them we had no intention of paying an invoice for a defective item that we shipped back to them almost 17 months ago. This individual demanded that we provide tracking information on our return shipment from May or it would be turned over to collections with a finance charge. I told them that no one could expect a company to retain any kind of shipping information on a simple printer cartridge return from well over a year ago. Any company that was not trying to perpetrate a fraud would have invoiced us again and taken action long before almost a year and a half had gone by.

I sent them a letter outlining the above and if contacted again, I would be filing reports with the FTC, BBB of CA, and the State Attorney General. Lo and behold, I received a voice mail from the Victoria Jean mentioned in other "Rip Off" reports demanding payment or it would be turned over to collections. I will begin filing reports shortly.
