Was downloading OpenOffice when PayPal request popped up afterward showing I "donated" $29.88 for "1-year membership"

I was downloading OpenOffice, FREE, open-source software to use on my new computer, when the Paypal window popped up showing I had paid $29.88 for a 1-year membership with Advance Telecom, which I had never heard of before.
