This guy encourages purchases by offering a full refund within 60 days, then changes the rules when you ask for a refund. His website FAQ plainly states "We offer a 60 day satisfaction guarantee on all of our products. It's a no questions asked guarantee but courses must be returned in original, re-sellable condition (no damage or writing in the manuals or disks)." This was Cut and Pasted directly from his site.
The first purchase (mistake) was his $19.99 report that was supposed to give up all the secrets of internet marketing. Here is another quote, cut and pasted from the website:
"So exactly how much does it cost to find out all these techniques, tips, tricks and secrets?
Only $19.95!
That's all! Just $19.95 to have the code of Internet Marketing Professionals broken in front of your very own eyes! A one time fee of only $19.95 to have all of their secrets revealed for the first time! It's these Internet Marketing Professionals that have been keeping you down all this time by telling you their outrageous lies over and over again. Don't let them do it to you anymore! They're in control right now but you can easily take it away from them. Take control of your own internet destiny starting right now!"
I took the bait, and ordered. This turned out to be just another set-up for the BIG purchase (which I kind of expected, but hoped for a little more.)
I placed an order (big mistake) on 5/28/08 for his 'basic system', at $199.99 plus $22 shipping. I received it about a week later.in the materials, he says he will give a refund on one condition: that I have read the entire book, and listened to all four CD's in their entirety.
I sent him an email on 7/24/08 requesting a Return Authorization, or whatever I needed in order to get my refund. No response, so I sent him another email on 7/29/08, with the same request. Today, he emailed me, telling me I was past my time limit for a refund, that for the Basic package (mine, $199.99) was 45 days, for the Deluxe package (around $600) it was 60 days.
He also mentioned that "As an Afilliate I have my own refund policy." But in his book, he frowns on afilliate programs, saying they never make any money. Obviously, this guy is not being honest.
In addition to this report for Usa Consumer Complaints.com, I plan on reporting this guy to the BBB, and also checking with my credit card company about reversing the charge.
Anybody else here been a victim of this guy?
