The problem started when I paid 5.20 GBP to FullReleases.Biz for a download, so do not give this company your card details under any circumstances.
Next, a company called BILLINGSVC.com took 31.42 GBP out of my account. I contacted my Bank (Barclays) who told me that they would give the company notice to stop, but that it was legally entitled to take one more payment as long as it was within 30 days of the notice (!). Sure enough, they took another payment for 30.60 GBP.
BILLINGSVC.com have just now taken a third unauthorised payment for 30.60 GBP. My bank tells me that they cannot stop the company doing this and that I will have to contact the bank every time this happens and the bank will reimburse me after I fill out a form.
Wait - it gets better! A couple of days ago, I receive an email from these S*O*B*s calling themselves BILLINGhlp.com telling me they represent an online store called Eguidestore.com and I now also have a payment pending to go out of my account for 29.88 GBP.
I cancelled my card after learning about this latest one but the bank tell me IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. I will have to inform the bank about every unauthorised payment, fill out a form, and get reimbursed by the bank.
