I too as I now see am not the problem but the buyer of one! I spent alot in time, money, FAQs, etc to think I made a wise purchase in a cpu for the first time in my 50 yrs! Not a big fan of spending $2,000 on some shop at home network but after much research, calls and such I thought why not buy my 1st cpu from the very company that builds for the Cow or the Hey Dude guy?
So 15 days after getting online with a HSI isp, working my way thru hidden places to reset some default setting to loosen up the many limits so to go to work getting up on sites for what was to be a new start in life biz... I started to get freezes, crashes and what most all these fine people w/n this site got! That is. Error prompts, server busy. Add nausauablahpuck!
Same EXACT runaround, same do this, that, call this#, that# all the while I'm the one keeping this $2 K online long enough for the scam/hotline support to do a check which is always at 100% but for what info you get without them, "live"!
LAST straw was lady #65 who wanted ME to cleanout all, do a reinstall WindowXP and then do a 125%install of ALL programs, oh, if I need"help"when i do to call for help!!! My ISP rep came onsite, saw all I did, said it all very clean work, but got lousy tower. He too said aside from having a very clean cpu with all cookies, website files not left, etc that I was'nt at any fault and quite the contrare as if not for my working at it, it'd be worse off.
But why go on about it when for 15 days now I get the same stall/bluff/delay tactics all the rest of you've had and by FAR longer than I??! I discovered this site by luck/chance as I've found anything else on this cpu and when I did? Mixed blessings in a way as I was thinking it was all me as Viscom/V2premier had me thinking cause they intentionally talk in hyperlingo to let you feel like an idiot! Then I realize what I'm just now w/n 12,15 days going thru is just a start of what IS to be. That is;lies, cons, delays, stalls, putoffs, etc. Etc.
I did thanks to you all and especially the Editor, tell their rep when he called me to go here n there routine about this site and ofcourse he'd not know anything of what I was talking about... Yet he did change alittle when I mentioned this site so maybe they're gettin nervousI would think there'd be a way to get this further out in the open so more can learn from it as I now have? To the Editor... Thanks and keep the stand as I read thru and see you hold ground well! YOU most certainly got my respect and a whole lotta brass to do this and stand up to those who could lawyer you to the outhouse!
If I can do anthing to further the cause count me in for the long haul as Ive had it with Circuitcity, DirectTV and DirectShop Network. Who owes me -$10,000 as I speak (chat in cpu lingo?) and the already mentioned total LACK of ethics, morals in today's business environment! What happened to CHARATER, VALUES, TRUTH?
