Walked into this store other day just to kill some time when my wife spotted a used game she wanted for her DS. It had a sticker on it suggested retail and MVP sale price.
Looking around, all their games new and used had the same stickers. When the cashier rang up the sale, the game came to $27.99. The MVP sale price was $21.99. Sales tax doesnt come to the total so asked why and was informed that MVP is their new club program and that in order to get the so called sale price you have to pay their $9.99 membership fee.
I then noticed the game my wife was about to have me buy more closely and remembered that I had seen in two other stores brand new at $19.99. As it turnes out I was right and bought it else where.
What this boils down to is gamecrazy is advertising their games as if their on sale and then tries to entrap the customer into paying a membership fee to get what they claim is lower price, which actually are higher priced then normal suggested retail.
Who on earth pay a fee to pay more for a used game when you can get it new elsewhere cheaper.in case your not aware, gamecrazy is part of Hollywood Video who have a past history of scamming not just their customers, but also their suppliers. Before you buy from them, check elsewhere first.
