On 3/13/08 I bought a notebook battery at ANTonline for $69.40. Their site stated that their were 7 of these items in stock. I got an order confirmation on my e-mail address by return confirming the purchase and the price.
However, on 3/17/08 I receive an e-mail stating that (verbatim) "This item was out of stock at order receipt. The transaction was canceled and refunded immediately after the order was received."
I immediately checked back on the Nextag website where I found the deal. ANTonline was still there with the product and - again - the statement that 7 items were in stock. ONLY THE PRICE WAS RAISED BY ABOUT $23 to $92.31.
My inquiry into this questionable conduct wasn't deigned a response by ANTonline. After reading other complaints about this firm on usacomplaints.com I decided just to drop the matter and not wast my time in trying to pursue the case further with ANTonline. I just bought the battery at another firm and will never do business with ANTonline again. This is clearly a firm with a very debatable business ethics.
