Superpages 1/1/08 started charging for service that was previously free with no notification or opportunity to opt out Texas

I started the verizon superpages online internet advertising in August. The service was free and there was only suppose to be a charge if someone clicked on the ad. They took my credit card number and put it on file for these charges. I only paid if advertising was used.

In January I got a charge for $15 on my credit card. I called the number on my credit card statement and after waiting for over 45 minutes on the phone left my name and number for them to return my call. I disputed the charge on my credit card.

In February I got another charge for $15 on my credit card. I called again and waited on the line for 50 minutes. The customer service rep told me that they had a boat load of calls backed up and that is why they never called me back.

I wonder how many thousands of people like me got ripped off with these charges.

I was informed that in the small print Verizon could charge whatever they wanted whenever they wanted and they didn't have to notify me. They said they had no intentions of refunding the charges.

This is just wrong! Ripped off. Be warned. This is not a Company to deal with!
