I ordered an item in mid december my credit card was charged. I have called repeatedly —the line just rings I received an e-mail on Jan 3rd saying item was shipped but it never came

I ordered an item in mid december my credit card was charged but the item never came. I have called repeatedly —the line just rings or is busy or goes to what sounds like a fax. I have also e-mailed them several times. I received an e-mail on Jan 3rd saying item was shipped but it never came.
