Non-responsive, uncaring, poor customer service, incorrect billing Chicago

I've had nothing but billing problems with Comcast Internet service. They say I'm late with my payments.

I've sent them documentation twice (physically once, fax once) showing all payments I've made and the dates. They've evidently lost it. This has been going on for years.

They finally shut down my service for lack of paying their incorrect late charges. I've paid them in-full every month on time. After speaking to them last time I finally gave up. I cannot get anything accomplished over the phone with them and am on hold so long I don't even remember why I've called.

I sent them several emails (I have the copies) but they don't respond. I told them with the last 2 that I didn't care what they did that I'd get other service and that they should pick up the modem I'm renting from them. No response.

I got a bill in the mail from them the other day for a full month's service (future service). Just couldn't believe it. I haven't had service from them in months.

My advise: look for alternate service. Talk to your municipality like I have for them to reconsider the Comcast contracts. This has hurt my credit report and I'm ready to sue them.

I'm 65, handicapped and out-of-work. All they had to do was to own up to their mistake and wipe the late charges. I've paid for their service for years and have been a good customer with no complaints other than the erroneous billing.
