I saw a good deal for a macbook pro on craigslist and contacted the seller Brent Harris and got details on the sale and talked to him on the phone and checked out his company. Then I agreed to send him $500 via western Union and the remainder COD. He then changed the price of the laptop by $700 more and said he needed more for a deposit so I told him the deal was off to refund me the money.
After that he "sold the laptop" to someone else and got them to send me the money via paypal as a refund and send the difference of $1000 to him via Western Union. After that he disconnected his phone and won't respond to e-mails any more and he never shipped the item to the other guy who then did a chargeback on his credit card of the full amount so now I'm out more than $1500.
I have all the receipts from the Western Union transactions and all the e-mails that were sent back and forth. I'm not sure if there is anything I can do with these though.
