Circuit City sold me an extended warranty for my laptop that cost me $369. After the manufacturers warranty expired my laptop needed repair. The warranty specifically states, "Just call 1 (800) 555-4615 and we'll direct you to an authorized service provider from an extensive network." The salesperson also hand-wrote on my warranty that I would received "in home" service on my laptop.
Even if the salesperson made an error, the extended warranty company refuses to give the name of an authorized dealer to me. The store itself, Circuit City #3131, refuses to give us a refund. The Circuit City headquarters refuses to give us a full refund; they will only give us a pro-rated cancellation amount.
I want the full amount I paid since they sold me a warranty that never existed in the first place. If I had known that they would not give me what the warranty expressly states I would never have purchased it.
