Sold me used MacBook Pro as NEW Ripoff Richmond

I wanted to update the memory in my personal HP laptop (purchased elsewhere several years ago). I had the information on what it was and the person at this store swore up and down the right memory. Wrong. Went through a lot of issues over that, and took it to another geek store.

Ultimately, I ended up having to replace the computer because of the problem. Stupid me and right at the time Vista came out, I didn't want Vista computers fresh out of the box. Well, two different Vista laptops - different companies - both had hardware problems, per the manufacturers, per Circuit City's geek. I took them back within the 14 day period. I asked the manufacturers and Circuit City each time what they did with the computers brought back. I was told they were sent back to the manufacturers. I trusted them for that. The third time I really didn't want a Vista, and I was sick of Circuit City. I researched Mac's and decided I wanted to go that way. I had one of the first models. If I didn't get it through this specific Circuit City that sells Macs and Windows computers, then I would lose 15% for restocking. I didn't want to do that. Along the way I had already had to purchase a new printer, etc. To go with the Vista computer.

I purchased the new MacBook Pro at Circuit City. I specifically asked if it was new when I purchased it, and again when the Apple geek was installing my Verizon card for me before I left the store. (While I was waiting for the card to be replaced, another salesman came up and told the geek he couldn't wait for another computer like my Vista to be turned in with more hard drive because he wanted it.) I got home and I couldn't find the remote anywhere, I had to get Apple to order me one. I had left a message for the salesman, but he never returned my call. When I tried to register the computer online, I couldn't. I got a message to call Apple to register it. Right then and there the bells went off in me that it was used. I should have followed my instincts. I asked Apple Support about it, and I was told it wasn't, but i was put on hold. (By the way, I keep notes, and I kept a lot of notes from my experiences back then with the purchases.)

I also called back and asked why I didn't have the full space I should on my hard drive. I can see some being used for programs, but not the large amount of gigs I was seeing gone. I was told that was normal for operating system, etc.

Well, the other day I downloaded a maintenance program for Mac. While it was running, I saw a file that I hadn't seen before and a bell went off in me. I called Apple. After talking for a while, it was confirmed that it was from a previous user (I know the user name). I was told to only purchase Mac computers from the Apple stores, they can only guarantee they are new if purchased from Apple stores. I told them, but I purchased it from Circuit City and they are an authorized Apple seller. I was told the same thing again. I was told I could delete that folder with those files. It took me over 2 days to do a secure delete of those files. I gained over 11 gigs of storage!

It was about 11 gigs that I first questioned Apple about, that I thought I was missing in the begin. I have no doubt whatsoever that my computer is a used computer and I paid full price for it. A very expensive lesson. I can assure you I will never ever spend another penny in Circuit City.

This isn't my only problem with Circuit City. I have purchased a total of five computers through Circuit City, not counting the ones I assisted with purchasing for other people. The computer I purchased for my husband last year, I paid for an extended warranty. I never received the warranty papers etc. Despite being told they would be mailed to us. They never came. That money went down the drain. I purchased a computer for my brother last year from them. The computer didn't have part of the programs it was supposed to have on it and was stated was on it, on the box. My brother could get nowhere going through Circuit City or the manufacturer, total runaround.
