Wild Blue Communications
Bait & Switch, shell game, general RipOff!

I have been a customer of WildBlue for less than 2 months.installation cost me extra because of course there is no standard installation. If you ask they will say that the tech will only do the standard installation but they cannot tell you what standard is.

I have had ONE day of uninterrupted service with them. I am well aware that we are dealing with satellite and that weather may have an influence on connectivity. This is just rediculous. I phone them on the 14th after no service for 5 hours, and was on hold to speak with a CSR for the better part of an hour. The answer was the weather was bad at the gateway. Bright sunny skys here.

Then everyday after that I would lose connection at least 5 times daily. This "outages" last for more than an hour everytime. On the 25th of June I contacted them because about 10 A.M. We had a terrible thunder storm here and of course out it went. The weather cleared about 11 and no service. I phoned and was told the weather was the culprit. Um the weather where? I was told Duluth. What does Duluth have to do with SE Louisiana? It was after midnight before I could connect and the young man who was helping me, said that since it wouldn't "lock on" after about 15 mins being on the phone with him an doing all the recycles and reboots, that I needed a service call. About that time it locked on and that was the last I heard about a service call, even though I asked when we should set that up. He said, "well it's locked on now". End of discussion.

Yesterday, about every few hours I would lose connection. Everytime it would be more than an hour to be able to reconnect.

Today I woke up to not being able to connect, once again. My son is in Iraq, and he was to contact me via video link today. This cannot be happening again. I phoned and was assured that the weather in DULUTH would be clear in about 45 mins, and all would be well. Still no connection. I phoned again, was on hold to speak to the CSR for 35 mins and hung up on as soon as they answered. No conversation at all I immediately phoned back and waited for a CSR for 2 hours and 43 mins. All they could say was sorry. The young man kept telling me that Duluth was my gateway and it was down. Not my problem. I finally in desparation told him I wanted to cancel service. He told me he would have to connect me to the "Retention" department and he was on hold trying to get me there for 45 plus mins. How do they do business?

I was told the retention dept would all me back, they never did. So once again I phoned and remember still not connected. I finally spoke with Jacquline who told me that I still owed them for 10 months and I would pay that. I informed her that he could come pick up the faulty eqipment as I did not want it and that I was not going to pay for it so it still belonged to WildBlue. She said, "Well you still owe us for 10 months do you still want to cancel?". I responded with, "yes i want to cancel and you are getting 10 months more from me!!!". She told me to keep it professional. How is that possible when you are dealing with a company who does not know the meaning of the word. I finally ended up when she asked me again if I still wanted to cancel, screaming at her, to YES CANCEL THE "F" SERVICE (fill in the blanks). So it appears the service has been canceled as I hadto request 4 times, and they really for some reason think I am going to pay them. NOT! I am going to my attorney in the morning to have him file suit against them for breech of contract, and I have filed with the BBB and of course my favorite spot... Here.

Last word stay away from them. Bait & switch, shell game, RIPOFF!
