Hughes corp, bad service, bad communication ripoff

I have had DirectTV for 4 yrs now and never had a problem with it no matter what the weather is. I was so pleased with this service that I saw an infomercial for Direcway Sattelite, living in an area where nothing is available I thought it would be much better than dial-up. I called to get it, Great so I thought, from the time that the installers came I have had nothing but problems. They promise a $100 rebate that I got turned down on. I was not told that I had to download all the paper work and send it in after 3 months I called and asked about it they told me what to do I did it and I got all my stuff back in the mail and told me that I was over the deadline. But it is a continued rebate every month.

First they told me it would be best to place it on a pole instead of the house, if they did the work it would cost $150 just to dig a little hole, put in a piece of pipe and some concrete. I told them no that we would do it. Besides telling me where to dig he also left a mark. When done call them and they would come back, we did what we were told when they came back they told us that it was in the wrong spot so we have this metal pole and concrete in our beautiful lawn that we have no use for.

Since having Direcway it has not been any faster than regular dial up, even if we can get online. I have called tech support numerous of times, you have to follow all these instructions only to find out that what they said did not work, then they connect you to advanced tech support with that the same thing nothing, so they finally connect you to another person to say they will be sending someone out to fix the problem. They come and fix it only for a week or two and then back to the same 45 mins to an hour on the phone with tech support again.

Today I tried to get online only to find out that I can't again. I called tech support and was told that I did to much downloading, I went over my policy and that I had to wait 12 hrs before I can call back for tech support to help me get back online. I asked for a phone number that I can call to complain and the billing dept. Told me that they were the ones to speak to. I told them that there were v. Pres and presidents of the company and that I wanted a phone number and they told me that they did not have any other numbers.

I researched the web and found this site found that there are others with problems with Direcway which I don't feel so bad now. It is impossible to get the Headquarters Phone Numbers, I came across this one number and told the operator that I wanted to speak with someone about a complaint, she told me that she would take my info down and email it to someone, when I asked her if there was someone to speak with live she said no. I find they really don't care about their service and how they treat people as long as they get their money. I hung up on her and kept calling back to seee if I could get connected with someone. I finally did and she seemed nice listen to me and told me that she would have someone contact me to help me. So far nothing.

I cannot wait for my contract to be up with them, to bad we have to buy the equipment for when we cancel we have this stuff that we paid for and no use for it. I would rather have dial up than Direcway for dial up is cheaper and less problems.
