Did not receive items as described. Ripoff

I would never again use UBID as an auction site, and would not recommend anyone else to use it.

1. I saw a wireless adapter for bid, and since I needed it to have a certain software version I submitted a question as to the version in the units they were offering. I received a reply stating it was a version that I could use. I bid and won the item, and when I tried to install it I found out it was not the version I was told. The seller refused to allow me to return it, and UBID did nothing about it.

2. A seller advertised up to 500 quality cables. I bid on it and won. I received only 42 cables, and when I thought it was a rip off I was sent 25 3' coax cables. (worthless). I told them that offering up to 500 and only receiving the cables I received was a rip off.

There was nothing in the description stating the amount, but up to 500 should mean a decent quantity of good cables. Nothing said be surprised.

UBID's comment was if I received 1 or 500 the seller met its responsibility, and they would not allow a return or do anything.

The web site advertises 100% satisfaction. 0% is more like it.
