There have been alot of claims against Mr. Walker and his so called Video Specialties unit. I cannot verify that all of the claims are accurate, but I do have an experience of my own that could justify others statements.
I purchased a modified PS2 unit from Mr. Walker December 3rd 2006. And I never recieved the product. At first he would tell me how the product was unmodifiable and how it was not available. I agreed to give him sometime because being a business student I know how complications can take place. So, I gave him a 2 months leniency period. February of I still have not recieved the product and Mr. Walker tells me they recieved the product and I am the next in line.
March I am told by Mr. Walker that Video Specialties if that is what he wants to be called; is very busy and I will have to wait my turn? April comes around and now I am stunned, and believe I have just got stolen from.
I begin to call the business frequently to check the status on the product, because he no longer responds to my emails. He says I am becoming annoying and says, "you calling is not helping."
May comes around and I file a complaint with the BBB and Mr. Walker states that my claims are faulty??? He then proposes that the issue is resolved because he has sent me a refund via check minus cancellation fees. Well the check never came, and the BBB complaint went Unresolved, because Mr. Walker did not respond to the BBB comaplint on file after proposing his false refund resolution. I told the BBB if the check takes as long as the ps2 takes to get to me, I will never recieve it.
So, I end up down 235.00 to Mr. Walker and have no Ps2 to show for it. I was patient and taken advantage of, I am sure many of my consumer rights were violated and taken advantage of. And everything stated in this documentation is true to its full extent. Mr. Walker has a way of trying to sway things in his favor. But, I saved every email he sent me, and I even recorded our phone conversations for my own personal safety, seeing that I was in danger of being a vicitim of internet fraud.
Mr. Walker says the product was not available and yet the product was always listed on his site for sale as modified ps2's only 8 left. And he even took this down, when I complained about it. Then months later it was back up. How long can youo have only eight left??? And how can you state you have eight left, when none are in stock??? Can I get some verification please/??
I did however, learn something from this transaction, always do research on a company before you buy with them. I am very reliable person, I have an ebay account Kaous3 it has 100% feedback and I look to make doing business on the internet a fun and affordable task. It should be a friendly environment, and there is no room for con-artist, scammers, and cheats.
I hope this helps someone in the future. NONE of the document is false or slander, it is all TRUE. I would not reccommend doing business with Michael Walker or Getitrepaired.com He can say whatever he wants to save his reputation, but the fact of the matter is he stole 235.00 from me, and that is against the law. I hope you guys stay clear of his name and (at home) business in the future.
Input would also be great, would love to hear from others and former customers of this business. (I don't want to here customer reports from Mr. Walker, seeing that the same 5 comments with 5 star ratings are on his website, and he just deletes all of the negative or truthful transactions, how do I know this, because mine is not posted).
