I am a stay at mom, and I decided to go back to school. I decided to try UOP, because I had a family member that was getting her degree online. So I decided to give it a try. At first, they were very attetive to getting me to enroll at their school. The admissions advisor that I worked with was very sweet and patience with me. She helped me through all the process that I needed to enroll into the school. I started my classes in March, ands the classes that I was required to take I had already taken them. So when I inquired about my transferred credits, I would only get that they have not been sent to them yet. So I asked, so I have to take classes that I know that I have taken classes for before? They replied, that until the credits are transferred from my other school, then yes. I should have known that I was wasting my time. Then the second problem was that I didbn't want to take classes in the summer, because my family does a lot of traveling during the summer. So when I inquired about that, I was told that the college does not allow the students take to take the summer off. I understand if you are the type of person that wants to take a class or two during the summer. To each thier own. I was told that I still needed to take these classes because it was a requirement. I was told to take a laptop with me on my vacation, then what is the point of taking a vacation?! And I was told this in the beginning at enrollment. (yeah right). Then I questioned to classes that I had to take, It did not have anything to do with the degree that I was trying to take. But again I was told it was a requirement.
After reading through some of the replies on this website, a lot of the things that everyone has been through it was done to me. I just started at the school on March 19.
One of the issues that, is going on now, is about my financial aid. If I don't pass a class, or decide to drop out then I will be in the hole with the school. Will I rather be in the whole with the school then to the federal government.
I feel that the teachers are not reading from the same book, they all have their own verison of the policies and procedures at the school. I feel that some of the teachers were very unprofessional, regarding the students needs.
As of today, I will no longer be a student of Axia, UOP, or any other name that they want to call themselves.

If anyone can give me the numbers to Financial aid it would be greatly appreicated. I was told that a check was sent to me a couple of weeks ago, but I received nothing. I want to make sure that the money is sent back to the lenders. I don't want to them to keep the money and then try to hold my responible for money that they already have!!!
