I recently Bought 2 Windows XP home Edition Software Packs From My Supplier And Because of some BS activation Procedures they cant replace the software I Would have to call Microsoft.
I recieved both software packs for my home/office computers and when I took the cd out for the first one I noticed it had a 1 inch long center hub crack so it was unreadable so i opened the second one and placed it in my cd drive after the software was 65% installed the computer said insert the Windows CD I opened the drive to find that the second discs label side was flaked off and the data unreadable.
I called Microsoft to try to have both discs replaced They said i would have to download a form and mail it in with payment for replacement discs and I would Also be charged a $99 support fee.
I just paid $200 For both softwares and on top of this insult I would have to pay $99 $35 each disc???
Microsoft Makes Billions a year off software sales You would not think they should charge you for help in replacing their products.
To Add Injury to Insult Microsoft Support said I would Also Have to Buy New COA Keys for the replacement software because the ones I had would not work so The cost of all of it would be $100 Per Software pack $99 For Support $35 Replacement fees
Or I could Go With Mac OSX.
This company need to stop thinking about money and think about customer satisfaction I only need a replacement cd not a new mercedes Jesus!
