I purchased a SanDisk cruzer flash drive from Staples on August 24th. There was a $15 rebate available with this purchase.
I was able to file for my rebate online, and the slip I received said it would take between 4 - 6 weeks for processing. I filed my rebate online on August 25th. Four - Six weeks from that date would have been anywhere from September 22nd to October 6th.
I have contacted SanDisk's customer service center on several occassions and have been informed that the rebate was taking a little longer than normal to process. On October 30th, I called SanDisk and spoke with a Supervisor and was told that a manual rebate would be issued and I would have it within 7 days. This has not happened.
As of today, 11/15/06, the tracking website still says that my rebate is being processed and I have received nothing in the mail and there are no errors with my rebate.
It is not like $15 is a large amount of money, but by this point, it is the principle of the matter.
