I bought a VERY expensive laptop computer from Dell, and the battery didn't work well since day one and it is not covered under the "battery recall". The power cord split right away and required electrical tape to make it work. I still owed dell $1900 and I sent the payment as a full pay off. Only to find out that my graduate school loan was denied because I have a "charge-off". Now I can't pay for my kids and I to live and the computer was not even charged off. I paid for it! I have been fighting with them for four months on the phone and they say they will fix it, now the credit report says
"Paid off-charge off."
Go figure... The point is that IT WAS NOT CHARGED OFF! It has cost me loads of lost sleep as to what to do, and it has cost me money to keep buying my credit report to try to resolve it. I need to be studying, my time is extremely valuable and I can't even get a credit card to get the kids school close, because of their mistake.in the most recent phone calls, they admit it was paid for, but they said they would email me a letter for the student loan company, and now I got an email instead that the case is closed! They never even sent a letter! Has anyone else had problems with them false reporting to the credit bureaus?
