Onrebate.com Rebate delay or rip off Boca Raton Florida
I have not received my rebate yet, and my research has shown that you have a less then positive track record on paying the rebates. There are several web site dedicated to educating people about how you don't pay the rebates.
You use the same stories on every one - I have been told that the batch didnot go threw, that some one forgot to enter it, its being processed and will be in Paypal by this time or this date and it is never there, that there isa problem with Paypal as well as several other excuses. Paypal has indicated that there has never been any attempt by Onrebate to make any payment on my account. I have been put on hold for 45 minutes at a time, get a person only to be put on hold again - I am currently on hold for a Pedro (don't think that's his real name) who said he would be with me when he was done his other call and that it would be 5 min. That was over 20 min. Ago.
I have also been hung up on several times when I call and ask about my rebate. All this is a way to discourage people from getting there money, you make it so difficult and frustrating that people give up on the rebate.
I have done some research and found out that your company does this on a regular basses, people don't get their rebates and your company keeps the money. For most people it is only $30.00 or $40.00 so they let it go
because you just don't pay however it is fraud. When I type in onrebate in google search, I get your company and then 100's of sites about how you don't pay your rebates. I also found out that your company and Tigerdirect (the company I purchased my item from) are very close as the presidant of Onrebate used to work for Tigerdirect - this is on your about us page.
Pedro just came back on line after 21 min. To see if I was still here and then said he would be right back, as he is still dealing with his other call. 50 min. And counting.
27 min. On hold, Pedro came back, asked me for my tracking #. I am back on hold. 39 min. On hold only to be told that all he can do is put it in for payment (heard that before), I requested to speek with his supervisor - Nikki (no last names given here), she is not there (heard that before), He does not know who her superviser is, and there are no other superviser is.
I refused to believe that Nikki was in a metting as I have been told that way to many times and to send me to her voice mail, no I don't want to leave a message with him with my phone # and name again. Put me back on hold. 42 min. And guess what, Nikkie answers with I will be with you in one min. On hold again. 53 min on hold just to have some one ask me for my information
again and put me on hold. I was on the phone for over an hour, all of it on hold.
And what did I get for all that time - you are going to open up an investigation to why the paymeent Onrebate shows going to Paypal on August 31 did not go threw and that she was going to call me back. My problem with
this is that as of the last time I talked with some one Onrebate said no payment had been processed. So if Onrebate did not show a payment mid-September how come all of a sudden there is a payment in August that did
not go through and a investigation has to take place. Another delaying process I beleive. Paypal has no record of any payment attempts from Onrebate to my account.
