My 16 year old son submitted an application to what he thought was MTV's "Pimp My Ride" show. It turns out it was not that show but a website advertising as "Pimp Your Ride". He recieved a congradulatory email stating to go to the provided link and fill out more info and he would be on his way on the show but what it really was was a scam.
They requested a credit card and stated that if he were choosen and only after being choosen that $89 would be charged to my card. They said they would contact him if accepted within 48 hours. They charged the $89 fee as soon as he hit the submit button.
I sent an email requesting the $89 back explaining that my son was mistaken and had signed up for the wrong thing. They ignored that email. I then called them at the given phone number. I was told to email [email protected] with my name, number and reason I wanted a refund which I did and they sent back an email stating that we submitted the credit card info and by doing so accepting the terms and conditions. They will not give me a refund.
