I'm a new seller and I sold a couple of nice items on Amazon. About 10 days after I started selling, I got an email from them stating that they were going to place a hold on my money for up to 45 days to investigate and verify that everything was a okay with my account. Seemed like a bit of a long time considering there was no reason for that, as there were no customers complaint. I kept on selling stuff until I had around $3244.00 in my account.
Amazon to me is nothing more than a big scam. Seems to me they get buyers to place their merchandise on their web site and within a few days later; when they are suppose to transfer your seller funds to your bank account, from their " Amazon scam" account; they give send you a weak excuse stating why they can't or WILL NOT do it! They send you and email saying they are making a 30 to 45 day investigation. This appears to me to be an excuse to hold your money for themselves. They tell you that they do this investigation in order to make sure the customers are receiving their shipments. I thought that was kind of a weak excuse so I looked them up on this Rip off Web site.
Sure enough, I found a few sellers in my same position. I have contacted my customers which I stated above via email to let them know when to expect shipment and have had not one complaint. If that's not weak for a million dollar company scamming small businesses who are trying to grow their business then what is it?! They advised me to ship off my itmes then they will release my money upon on completement of their so-called investigation! Of course i cannot make my shipments because i don't have the money to pay my suppliers to dropship my customer their items! How can i ship anything when they are holding my customers money! I advise any seller that is trying to build their business through this company, please don't depend on it. Because these JERKS don't care.
