Ripoff mistakes not rectified because Dell's departments cannot communicate Internet

I ordered a computer. I told the customer service rep. That I had about $1000 to spend. The non-english speaking person on the other end quoted me a price of "one-thousand sixty eight dollars." The problem was that the computer cost.$1680.00 He had spoken the decimal in the wrong place.

Having caught the error, the computer was sent back and replaced with another computer with the wrong memory. I sent that comuputer back. Again, actually five times, Dell sent me the wrong computer and everytiime, I sent it back.

Dell upon receipt of the computers credited my account. However, Dell wanted me to pay hundreds of dollars for restocking fees and taxes. I refused.

It has been one year now. I have sent certified letters of dispute... Which according to their own policies, when a file is in despute Dell is not to report to the credit agencies... But Dell did.

Every month a new person assures me that they will rectify the problem only for a portion of the balance to remain to collect more late fees etc.

I have been harrassed on the phone on numerous occassion. Dell Financial who has the bill cannot communicate with Dell customer care who is required to take the charges off... NOBODY can send me any e-mail guaranteeing that what I am told about the charges being removed will actually take place. My credit, once very good is being sacrificed because of the incompetence of Dell and its policies.

Dell's web sight boasts customer service and communication as one of its corporate policies and yet, I have tried to get anyone even located in the U.S. To try and resolve this issue.

Corporate Officers, of whom there are many, have no contact information located anywhere I can find... Therefore, I have gone round and round, collected names and I.D. Numbers from a dozen of supervisors who cannot seem to resolve this. This seem unreckoncilable because there is no communications between differing providers: I just keep being bumbed around and around each department telling me to contact the other department.

I wonder if the "powers to be" at Dell are aware of the poor policies and lack of being able to fulfill their business practices statements that all stem from the inability for interdepartmental communication.
