I fullfilled my obligations months ago and cancelled my membership. Then a month ago I received a CD, unsolicited. I called BMG and informed them that I didn't want their CD, had cancelled my membership and would not be paying for any CD's they shipped that were not ordered. I was reassured that my membership had been cancelled, had no balance and I should not be receiving any more correspondence or CD's from BMG.

Today I received a selection packet to decide whether or not I wanted their monthly selection or something else with the statement that I had not fullfilled my agreement to buy one CD at regular price.

I called their business office and was informed that because I didn't return the free CD they sent me that I was a member again and that the woman I spoke with SHOULD have told me that and they were sorry, but since I opened the CD I would have to fullfill their contract.

I informed Mario Operator 298 that I was going to file a complaint if they didn't cancel this fraudulent membership immediately and would throw away any further correspondence from them, including CD's. He agreed to cancel my membership and send me a hard copy confirmation of this.

If I do not receive a hard copy confirmation or receive any further CD's, I will be filing a complaint with the US Postal Service for fraud.
