I decided to try Video Professor last month and I was sent one of their cd's. I checked my bank statement last month, and not only was the "FREE" charge of $6.95 on there, but so was $79.95. I then contacted my bank and found another charge for this month of $79.95, and then received another cd! I did not sign up for anything except a "free" offer, and was supposed to be charged only $6.95 for it. I called Video Professor, and the young woman I spoke to said "you didn't know you would be getting more programs? Did you read the fine print?" Then when I said I did not read all of the terms and conditions, she stated "almost nobody does, so I'm not surprised."
I was able to get one charge taken off, but could not get the other charge taken off my bank account. I contacted my bank today and I am closing the account I used to order this program from, and then I am contacting the fraud unit at my bank, who will hopefully deal with this so I can get my money back.
I do not understand how they can get away with this - the advertisement on tv states a $6.95 s/h fee only, and the $79.95 is crossed through - making believe, no matter if I order on the internet or over the phone, that I will be getting what was advertised, no more and no less. This is such false advertising! I hope everyone gets the money they so trustingly put into this crooks' hands!
