Netzero.com must not care much about their customers. Are they idiots?

I can't believe netzero.com. I have windows xp professional and every time I start my computer, a box comes up labeled Net Zero and wants me to let it dial 2222 so I can go to cnn.com.
First, if I want to go to cnn.com, wouldn't I know that?
Second, I have tried everything from erasing everything on my hard drive and re-installing netzero.com's stupid software to repeatedly deleting the thing from my network connections. It always comes back.
Third, I called them when I first signed up to report the problem and they said, "are you sure that you didn't have another ISP before and it's just left over from that?"
Fourth, What idiots. Don't they know that eventually people will realize what idiots they are? I'm not the only one who knows about this. YOU CAN'T GET RID OF IT! If you try erasing your whole drive and re-installing you'll get the same thing.

ALSO! They seem to be supported by unethical internet companies. I found usacomplaints.com by doing a search. Here's what I typed in: "are the people at netzero idiots?"
Another member of usacomplaints.com reported the same thing that I reported above. Then he went on to describe how they put junk on his phone bill that he never asked for. That sounds familiar.

I recently got a phone bill with a company called netarmor who I never heard of before. Idiots!

I don't like wasting my time with this. I had to call them and tell them to get that # off my phone bill. I still don't know if they've taken care of it or not, but they better!

What's the deal with this #? I'm fairly new to the internet and I am dis-abled and currently have no income. If I hadn't shown my girl-friend the research value of having the internet I would not have it now. She's semi-disabled herself and we cannot afford the fraudulant business practices of companies. Is there another inexpensive internet provider that has ethical business practices?!
