Unfortunatly I responded to a survey for something I suposedly won, which is a scam in itself, and when you do respond all of a sudden to get your "free" prize you have to respond to certain sites.
Being fairly new to the internet I was sucked in. I noticed one of first places, (before I got frustated and quit the promotion for my so called free prize) was Video Professor. I had just bought Quickbooks and Video Professor was advertising a learning tool for that program. How convenient.
It stated for $5.95 $1.00 I could learn Quickbooks. I recieved the program and it was for I have 2006 Quickbooks since it is the year 2006.
I thought no big deal for the amount of money I spent, but to my suprise I received another program from Video Professor to learn Excel. I called to cancel whatever Program they had put me on and was told to keep it and I would be taken off the list.
I was then informed that I was charged $79.95 for the first program. I said no, and she (Vanessa) I should have read a red boolet that came with the cd. I said that I had never received a red booklet. She said sorry but I was still going to be charged and could she do anything else for me. I said take off the charges from my credit card.
She said if I paid return postage and sent both programs back I might or might not get a refund. I said let me talk to someone who could take care of this since your ad is misleading and both programs are useless to me. She said she could not let me talk to anyone else that could help me.
I stated to her that I was going to post my complaint on the internet and to friends and family. Her response was thats fine what else can I help you with. I stated again how she could help me and ads were misleading. She said she could not help me... So here I am.
Anything free from Video Professor is a lie and a scam as far as I am concerned.
