I ordered what I thought was a FREE CD (shipping/handling 6.95). I noticed I had been billed for 69.95 on my bank statement and had not gotten the CD. I called Video Professor and asked them what was going on and was told I should have read the terms and conditions. I then told them I did not want the CD and to please reimburse my account. I was told that this would be handled and was told if I received the CD to just send it back to them.
Today I see 5 withdrawals in my account from Video Professor, 3 for 69.95 each and 2 for 6.95 for a total of $223.75. I called the company and spoke with Tammy and was told that they shipped me out 4 different programs and one had been returned to them.
I told her I had never ordered or received the programs that they claimed to have shipped out. Her response to me was "well if you ordered it online - oh well."
She said she could put in a claim to reimburse me but that they do not guarantee that anything will come of it.
After reading the Editors comments I looked up Federal Regulation E and called my bank and filed a claim, so now I wait for up to 10 business days for it to be investigated.
Seems to me something should/can be done about these companies that are just out to scam a person. I looked up and found several other sites online complaining about Video Professor.
