The Panasonic computer monitor I bought two years ago has been replaced four times under the 3-year warranty, and the last two replacements were "refurbished" PanaSync E70i models were delivered in poor condition because of shoddy and unsafe repairs by their repair center in Illinois.
The defects included: 1) smashed swivel base (smashed by them, before it was put in the shipping carton); 2) front cabinet face badly sanded; 3) wiring and solder connections left unfinished; 4) the last monitor sent to me had a missing electrical shock prevention shield on the bottom.
I've phoned, e-mailed and mailed certified letters to Panasonic but haven't received any human reply since December, even though they've acknowledged receiving my e-mails and twice rejected my certified mail.
I've never been allowed to speak with a real technician or engineer, only unqualified tech support people or administrators, none who seems to understand the electrocution risk involved.
They've told me to ship the monitor back, but their repair center will probably just make yet more shoddy and unsafe repairs.
Panasonic has already sent me a new front cabinet face, and I want them to do the same for the anti-shock shield (part no. TUC4C0164, called the "TCO Shield ").
I know how to install these parts, and I'll certainly take more care than their repair center ever would.
