Don't Buy Panasonic Products - Customer Service

I purchased a panasonic DVR several years ago. It had a history of locking up when trying to do a timed recording. On Panasonic's web site, I found a supposed software patch. When I tried to install the fix the DVR locked up. It kept flashing "update" on the screen. After trying their customer service repeatedly, I gave up and sent it to them for repair. They exchanged my unit with another and returned it. The new unit had problems with the tuner section being very erratic. Some channels would just stop working. When I turned the unit off and restarted they would sometimes begin working again. Since the warranty was only good for 90 days I returned the DVR for repair or exchange. They have had the DVR for 3 weeks now with no sign of activity. I tried to call the repair center which will never answer my call. I left voice mails repeatedly with no answer. I tried to email their customer service several times and all they did was tell me to call the repair center. Panasonic customer service is nonexistant!
