I ordered a desktop computer in December directly from Gateway Computers online site. The site stated that there was a rebate for the computer and a full rebate for the printer if I chose to buy it.
I purchased the computer and printer. The site offered me the rebate forms to print out which I did. I sent in the forms with the appropriate documentation.
Approximately 8 weeks later I received a letter from the manufacturer of the printer stating that I had used the wrong rebate form. I explained that it was the form Gateway offered me. They instructed me as to how to get the appropriate form and to send it back immediately.
A week or so later I received an email from Gateway stating that the computer I purchased was not eligible for the rebate that the rebate was for a different computer. I called customer service. After holding for 1 hour and speaking with several different people I demanded to speak with the supervisor. The supervisor was rude to say in the least. He was not concerned with my plight and basically told me I was out of luck.
I will never do business with Gateway again. They are rude, sneaky and completely lack ethics.
