Rebate ripoff

In october of this year I ordered my very first computer from Apple computers over the phone. At the time I was talked into ordering a HP printer (which I didn't need) for $99.99 because there was a $100 rebate. I receved my order and could'nt be happier accept they are refusing to give me my rebate. They are saying it had to be sent in within 30 days.

I wouldn't have a problem with this accept for the following: 1. It was never explained over the phone how to receive the rebate; I assumed the info would be sent with my order (no info regarding the rebate was sent). 2. As this was my first computer, I was not on the internet right away, and as it turns out, this is the only way to get the info for the rebate. When I ordered this computer the operator knew this was my first computer and my lack of computer know how. 3. A receipt was required for the rebate. No receipt was sent, only packing lists which were not acceptd.

Finally after getting on line, downloading the rebate form and having apple email the receipt and sending it in, I get a letter saying my rebate has been denied because I haven't met time constraints. I feel like this was a scam. The receipt wasn't emailed to me until after the 30 days had already passed
