I was solicited by a internet real estate program offering information on how-to-buy property. The program cost 9.95 but once they received my account number for the 9.95, they immediately charged me 49.95.
I immediately contacted the number given and they told me they would cancel my program and refund my money. That never happened.
I have waited over a month for a resolution to no avail. I have name after name of "employees" I spoke with. They will not give me to a manager nor will they tell me the same story twice.
I have researched the E-ProAuction and found that they have done this to other people as well.
I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Internet Agency that handles internet scams. I have also contacted the Utah Bureau of Investigation but none of those agencies seem to care.
I realize that I have been victimized but I cannot stand by and allow them to do this to someone else. I am on a fixed income and could not afford to loose this money. If I can prevent them from doing this to someone else it may be worth my time.
By the way, they continued to debit my account the next month for an additional 4.95.
If they were local I know how I would handle it!
