I too recently had a bad experience with Tiger Direct purchases involving OnRebate.com.
We also spent a lot of time figuring out the process, and did send in the rebates.
I received an email saying one was denied because it was not signed. Two others were denied because of "multiple submissions."
As I did not understand what that meant, I sent an email requesting a link to their website saying we could not mail the rebates in the same envelope, as I am guessing that is what "multiple submissions" meant.
After my first email I received emails stating I would receive a response within 72 hours. One of the email addresses that responded was [email protected] and the other was [email protected]. I did not receive any response, and since have resent the emails three times, and still have never received any response. I am still waiting on a response from my last email sent over 72 hours ago.
I usually do not mess with rebates, but all of this was being done by my daughter as she wanted to save some money and by items with rebates. She was going to pay us back partly with the rebate money. Needless to say, I have not asked her for it.
This was not our first purchase from Tiger Direct, and we always like to check their items first. But the rebate stuff is a joke. It seems deceptive to me to offer all these rebates and them make it so difficult to submit, and then to have them denied for some funky reason that I do not understand. We only had one UPC for the items, so I am baffled as to how we made "multiple submissions."
I read someone else's complaint about being denied because they did not sign the form. It is odd one of ours was also denied for this reason, but not the other two.
