Customer's Requests Ignored/Continuous Billing victimized many consumers internet service

I had no idea that so many people were having the same problems with AOL as I am.

Last year I bought a Gateway computer. With it came a free 1 year subscription to AOL. Great, I thought. Approximately 6 months later They began taking the monthly fee from my checking account. Finally got that resolved. My wife signed up for their high speed dsl in July. It was installed & paid for by credit card. Didn't work very well in our area.in October we had a cable hook-up installed and cancelled the high speed dsl.

They continued taking the money from my bank for that service that we no longer were using. I called them several times on this. They (of course) had no record of my cancellation, but each time. They assured me it would be cancelled immediately. HA!

Finally, I instructed my bank to not honor any debits of any kind from AOL. You can bet my subscription to AOL was cancelled then.
