Continued to take money from my account after I requested it be cancelled. The had records showing I called, but just couldn't seem to understand what cancel means. Ripoff

In November, I paid for five months internet service on a trial basis.in February, I called to cancel this account due to poor service and poor tech support. At that time I had no working computer. It died a long, slow death.

In March, I purchased a new system and also high speed internet service was installed. I never used or had a need for peoplepc.com anymore even though I had a paid up account until April. I had requested on several occasions that this account be cancelled. I was told I could not get a refund and that was fine with me. I just wanted to be free from this service.

Today, June 8, my bank statement indicated that peoplepc.com is now deducting from my bank account. I called once again and was told I needed a confirmation number for a cancellation and that was why it was never cancelled. The account was cancelled today and I got that precious cancellation number.

I was then transferred to a supervisor who told me I could not get a refund for the money that was just withdrawn from my account because when I called to cancel I got an upgrade to my account. I didn't even have a computer at that time! I know $11.95 isn't a lot of money but it's the idea that even though they have records of my calling to cancel the still took my money.

I think the company is very dishonest and I hope no one else gets taken. Thanks for letting me vent.
