Incurred a 2 min $40.00 900 services bill on my Qwest phone bill from 12-26.
Have a 2nd line for computer only.integretel rep said that someone used the computer to dial-up and download some thing from the internet (oh! And by the way the user agreed to the $40 charge in a agreement).
Said that they would gladly block 900 calls billed from their company and that I needed to call Qwest to have a "full 900 data block" from each of my phone lines, especially the line for the computer. The rep also gave me instructions on how I could look up the web browser log to help narrow the source of the download.
Gave me www.infoservices900.com and that via this web site I could find out who, what, where the download was from. Not so a disclaimer say basically there is no way for them to track and store this sort of info.
I say SCAM SCAM SCAM... Not paying. Notice the statement on your Qwest bill that "Neither local nor long distance services can be disconnected for nonpayment of these charges." However, you should defintely let Qwest know that you are disputing the charges.
