Sold wrong cable for printer, won't exchange

I purchased an HP PSC 950 and was sold a printer accessory kit that included a two year replacement plan for $54.98. Unfortunately, they gave me a parallel printer cable instead of the USB cable that is required.

I have called the store and explained I live 175 miles from their store which is the nearest to me, and asked to ship the kit back to them for an exchange. I was called back but they only left a message telling me to call them again.

I have now called the store 5 times, never getting a real person and have left detailed messages concerning my problem. I have been completely ignorred since the first call.
They have my money and I have nothing of use to me.
