On June 20 I contacted Qwest communications to obtain services for telephone and DSL internet. At the end of the call I asked the rep., who I thought was very helpfull, how much the bill was going to be when I got it. He was reluctent but explained the bill was going to be for 2 months and would be no more than $120-130 plus state & fed. Tax.

So I get the DSL modem in the mail and get to hooking it all up (COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!!!) which involves numerous steps done in an exact sequence or it dosent work. So I get it up and running and a couple of days later it wont go on line. I call Qwest and am told to unplug the modem for 2-3 min. And try again, which works but now I have to unplug it every day up to 3 times a day!
Sometimes the connections very quick but mostly its like a very fast dial up.

A month and a half go by and I get the bill...$199.88
I just about riped the bill in half!!! So I call up Qwest and go through the whole rigamaroll of why my bill is this high and I tell the superviser about the est. The other rep. Gave on the inital call for service and she tells me "we are not alowed to give est. Over the phone". I tell her well he did now what are you going to do about it and she repeats the same so I tell her that I'm unsatisfied with the service I am receving. She tells me maybe I should disconnect the service then. So I told her I just may and got off the phone.

I did e-mail Qwest several times to find out if they do care, as they state, about customers who are told by employees of Qwest to disconnect service and am still not clear, it pretty much seems they dont care but to me being giving an est.By an employee is the same as the CEO of that corp. Saying the exact same thing!

I have five month old twin girls who give me all the stress in the world I should have to deal with, let-alone the internet not working when I do get the little amt. Of time to my self. Not crawling up under the computer desk to unplug a stupid modem that Qwest cant figure out.
So I'm just not going to put up with Qwests bullsh*t. I'm disconnecting and going to a better service for a lower price DIGITAL! I've e-mailed Qwest numerous time on this issue and they dont seem to care. So much for valued customers huh?
