I reserved what I thought was a jucuzzi suite for my husband who is training in Buffalo Grove this week. The hotel comes with a pool, fitness room. Beautiful pictures of the hotel. It looked like a realy nice retreat for my husband I to enjoy a quiet night alone from the kids.
I double checked everything. Mileage to and from training site. Made sure it had a pool, non-smoking room. Everything. After I had accepted the reservation, a discription of a regular room pops up and it just so happens to be a smoking room.
I called their customer support line and was greeted by 5 of the worlds worst individuals. 2 of which were to have been supervisors. The bottom line was It could not be corrected and if I completely cancelled the reservation it would cost me $72.50 for the room and an additional $25.00 for not cancelling 24 hours in advance. Eventhough I had just made the reservation 5 minutes prior to the call to their support team.
I was informed by the last supervisor who claimed to be a computer wiz, that priceline is the biggest online reservation company available. I promise to do everything in my power to make him eat his words. "Do I hear lay-offs?" Computers are not perfect, but since this has happened I have heard several horror stories from friends and family that makes me wonder how such a crooked company is leagally able to stay in business?
