I purchased an eMachines C2160 desktop on March 21 and it was an affordable PC. When I open the box, my parents set up the computer in my bedroom and we also set up DSL. While connected on the Internet, the nightmare happened. When I'm surfing the Web or maintaining the system, it showed the Blue Screen of Death many times that I had to reboot the computer and start Windows in Safe Mode to run Disk Check.
The box claims that the PC have 256 MB of RAM but it's actually 224 MB of RAM. Playing games with an eMachines PC is not great, it worked well on MS Flight Sim '04 but now when I install it again, it crashed or showed a blue screen, I had to install again. NFS Underground is worse for that PC, when installing NFS it installs great but I get to play the video game less than 10 minutes and while playing PC games it closes automatically.
The computer have fatal errors that my dad had to take it to Geek Squad to have it restore and restoring Windows cost $59 and took it there two times until I know how to restore the hard drive. When I restore everything on the hard drive, it showed a blue screen before setting Windows and start using it. When it is successful, it lasted for 2 weeks or a month.
The worst error is when I turned off the computer and turn it on again, the monitor was blank even all wires are well connected and my mom have to call a technician. The technician is a 17 year old guy and he told my mom that this brand have worst drivers and it last for two years. Now my C2160 is gone and the technician replaced it with a custom build PC that he made. If you have an eMachines PC recycle it and buy a reliable PC.
